J1.5 compatible J1.6 compatible

The hereafter screenshots are related to the mod_slidingcaptions module used on page "Test all modules".

The path to define your gallery is the following:

* install as usual the module (note: do not uninstall on upgrade)

* measure the available width in px (take into account any module margin css)

* compute image width based on the available width, the number of images on one row and the wanted  picture margin.

* Resize with a graphical application your pictures based on the picture width computed.

* Upload your pictures on an accessible folder on your site (images/...)

* set the base gallery parameters and images parameters and check module display on live page

* adapt the gallery width for exact presentation of external margins all around the module

* set the gallery positionning (center by default, if centering does not work due to your template css, use left positionning and define a gallery left margin as needed)

* now you can start the fine tuning of the gallery (css).

As the parameters are mostly self explaining, documentation is limited to specific parameters.

In any case, if you have trouble with some modified css definition, just clear the css box, save the module and re-edit it in order to restore the original default css.

Be careful to respect the css standards (each css statement must end with " ;").

Caption text box settings

Teaser CSS style: do not remove the initial css statement (display: block), adapt as needed.

The "Read more" info is only displayed if you have defined a url for the picture. It can be displayed as a text or an icon. The default module CSS uses absolute positionning for the read more text or icon. Please adapt the value top, right, height and width as you need. The top positioning relates to the caption expanded height value.

Read more text: displayed in text mode, allow you to define any string in your language

URL Text link CSS: allows to dedine styling and Readmore text absolute positionning. The position is set by properties top and right and are related to the top left corner of the expanded caption.

URL Icon link CSS: allows to define the absolute icon positionning  (same remark as here above for absolute positionning and set the width value to your icon width).

Icon file path: allows to use a module default icon or  your own icon as Readmore icon  (transparent png image).

In addition to the default "Read More" icon (more.png), you will find some more icons available on the modules/mod_slidecaptions/images/  directory:

btn_more-green4.jpg btn_more-orange4.jpg btn_more-purple4.jpg btn_more-red4.png more_blue.png more_orange.png more_gray_en5.png more_green_en5.png plusInfo.png suite.png lire-la-suite.png more-blue3.png more-orange3.png
